WP Easy Plugin Development Policy

At WP Easy, we provide reliable WordPress plugin development tailored to your needs. This policy sets out the terms under which we deliver our services.

What’s Included

  • Fixed-cost plugin development, based on your agreed project scope.
  • Deliverables defined in your project proposal or statement of work.

Quality of Work Warranty

We stand behind the quality of our work. All plugins developed by WP Easy come with a 30-day warranty from the date of delivery. This warranty covers:

  • Correction of bugs, coding errors, or omissions that prevent the plugin from working as described in the agreed scope.

This warranty does not cover issues caused by external factors outside of our control, including:

  • WordPress core, theme, or third-party plugin updates
  • Server or hosting environment changes
  • Modifications made by you or a third party
  • API or service changes from third-party providers

After the 30-day period, ongoing fixes and updates require a maintenance subscription or will be quoted separately.

What’s Not Included (Unless You’re on a Subscription)

Unless you have an active maintenance or licensing subscription, future fixes and updates are not included. This applies to:

  • WordPress core updates
  • Theme or plugin conflicts
  • PHP/MySQL or hosting changes
  • Compatibility with new versions of WordPress or third-party tools

Change Requests

  • Any work outside the agreed project scope will be considered a Change Request.
  • Change Requests will be quoted and approved before work begins.
  • Our standard rate is $165 AUD per hour (including GST), with a 30-minute minimum.
  • Turnaround times depend on current workload.

Third-Party Dependencies

We are not responsible for changes outside our control, including:

  • API modifications by third-party services
  • Updates to third-party plugins or themes
  • Server or hosting changes

Any fixes required due to these issues will be quoted separately (unless covered under a subscription).

Client Responsibilities

  • Maintaining up-to-date backups of your site
  • Testing the plugin in a staging/development environment before going live
  • Ensuring your hosting/server meets technical requirements

Liability

  • Our plugins are provided “as is” with no guarantees of compatibility beyond the agreed scope.
  • WP Easy is not liable for indirect or consequential damages (including lost sales, downtime, or data loss).
  • In any case, our total liability is capped at the amount you paid for the plugin development.

Ownership

  • Unless otherwise agreed in writing, WP Easy owns the plugin code and all related rights.
  • You are granted a license to use the plugin on your site(s) as per the project agreement.
  • Full ownership can be transferred only if specifically agreed and paid for.

Confidentiality

We treat all sensitive information you provide as confidential, unless disclosure is required by law.

Termination

  • We reserve the right to revoke licensing or support if fees are unpaid or this policy is breached.
  • Upon termination, your license to use the plugin may be revoked unless otherwise agreed.

Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will fall under the jurisdiction of Queensland courts.
